Tsunami Glassworks Incorporated, one of ArtSlope.com’s faves, introduces a new series of custom designed platters called PETAL. Inspired by the soft curve of a flower petal, design partners Kriston Gene and Eva Milinkovic have created hand blown and etched platters measuring 20″x8″, available either etched or shiny. And there are eight color combinations to choose from: black/iris, cherry/turquoise, olive/aqua, citron/jade, strawberry/saffron, citron/saffron and amethyst black.

Founded in 2005 by Eva Milinkovic and Kriston Gene, Tsunami Glassworks was born out of what its partners saw as “the need for bright and edgy expression in the design industry.” Embracing simple, clean shapes and tactile designs, Tsunami’s beautiful, playful pieces come in hand blown, cast and kiln formed glass.
For this year’s ICFF, the Canadian design firm presents their new “Hypervoxel” chandelier and a new pastel color palate for their popular Tubes collection.
Hypervoxel is a free blown glass chandelier whose organic forms mimic weightless liquid floating in space. This versatile series can be configured in small or large groupings, with halogen or LED lighting, and is customizable by color and size.
And for 2010, the Tubes vase series – an ArtSlope favorite – is now available in mint, opal rose, vanilla, robins egg blue or lavender.

Just in time for Valentines, welcome “Ventricle Vessel,” a beautiful glass piece designed by Eva Milinkovic of Tsunami Glassworks. Inspired by the heart’s many emotions, this colorful piece is a perfect example of what Tsunami Glassworks does so well: beautiful, playful, wholly original, glass creations. As Milinkovic told ArtSlope last year when we were first introduced, “Our goal really is just to continue working with glass; it’s so much fun and so easy to fall in love with. It’s a beautiful material, the colours and translucency you can’t achieve with anything else.”
The “Ventricle” is available in three sizes:
Small H 12” ($500), Medium H 16” ($750), and Large H 22” ($1100).
